Survey: Employers consider dental benefits essential to recruitment

The number of employers offering dental benefits has increased since 2008, according to a 2011 survey by the National Association of Dental Plans. Fewer employers purchased dental coverage as part of a medical insurance package and turned instead to a standalone carrier, the survey found. Cost and employee requests were significant factors in selecting a new dental carrier.
