Macy's has expanded its network of fulfillment centers to 500 U.S. stores, giving two-thirds of its brick-and-mortar locations the ability to fill online orders and send merchandise to locations that are out of stock. The retailer said the move has helped grow sales by $1 billion every year over the last three years by allowing customers to shop "whenever, wherever and however they prefer."
