Despite recent moves by houses including Burberry, which aired video of recent catwalk shows on its website, many upscale couture companies are still dragging their feet when it comes to e-commerce. "Luxury brands obtain premium prices by creating an aura around their products. On the Web, it's much harder to create this aura," said one industry analyst.
