Congresswoman meets Russian, eastern European LGBT activists

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., met with LGBT rights advocates from Russia, Georgia and Ukraine in Washington last week. Ros-Lehtinen denounced Russia's law against LGBT "propaganda" and called on Western countries to oppose it. "These folks just want to live normal lives with their loved ones, but the governments of these nations are either physically harassing them or intimidating them through the legislative process," Ros-Lehtinen said.
