Harvest mites from green roof infest school in U.K.

About a year ago, a school in Cumbria, England, installed a green roof. The school was closed on Friday after officials discovered that harvest mites, which had crawled from the roof through the venting system, were biting children in classrooms. A fumigation team has been called in. Helen Collis, the acting head teacher, said the issue arose because of "the type of roof that has been installed."
