Social media becomes tool for recruiting teachers

With the school year underway, officials in Clark County, Nev., say they still are working to fill 100 vacant teaching positions -- primarily in special needs, math and science. To help recruit teachers from outside of the state, recruiters this year used social media to attract applicants. "Some of us that are older were skeptical about how they went about recruiting," said principal Dave Wilson. "They went heavily into social media this time and it turned out to be very successful for them."
