UNAIDS says new HIV infections have dropped by one-third this century

Since 2001, new HIV infections have fallen by one-third, with the number of children infected declining by more than 50%, says UNAIDS. Expanding global access for antiretrovirals as required by a 2015 goal is possible if the world has "the vision and commitment to ensure no one is left behind," says UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibe.
