Vancouver water supplies drop as dry weather continues

A continuing lack of precipitation has stressed the region around Vancouver, Canada, where private wells have gone dry, reservoir levels have dipped and some river flows have plummeted to a third of their usual volume. "In some cases the streams are actually too shallow for the fish to work their way up. They're scraping their bellies," said a government river forecasting manager.
