Entergy's Waterford 3 plant marks 25th year of operations

The reliability and cost-effectiveness of Entergy Louisiana's Waterford 3 plant spur economic growth in the region, said CEO Bill Mohl, as the facility celebrates 25 years of operation. Electricity costs $45 per megawatt hour when produced with natural gas, as opposed to a rate of $10 with nuclear power, Mohl said. "All the electricity from Waterford is sold to Louisiana customers, which keeps their utility bills down," he added.
