Everglades restoration project creeping along

Years of studies, meetings and red tape have resulted in little headway with the far-reaching Everglades restoration effort. But a committee of 13 scientists says some progress has been made and there is reason for optimism. "The overriding message is this restoration is going to take longer and be more expensive than originally planned," said Frank Davis, chairman of the committee that compiled the project analysis.
