PNC trains advisers in-house to cut costs and fill openings

PNC Financial Services Group has departed from traditional bank practices by training promising adviser candidates in-house. "Right at the time baby boomers are retiring and demand for advice is rising, there are not enough qualified people out there to serve them," said Mike Mortensen, president of PNC Investments.
