Ardagh could sell 4 plants in response to Trade Commission concerns

Ireland-based Ardagh said Friday that it will sell four of its glass container manufacturing plants if its proposed $1.7 billion acquisition of Verallia North America goes through after the U.S. Federal Trade Commission filed a complaint to stop the deal in July. VNA's glass packaging unit makes jam jars and drink bottles that are used for U.S. products.
