"You're going to have to have some kind of regulatory foundations in place at a reasonably nascent place. Or else everybody's going to get the feeling it's the Wild West out there," said Bill Visnic of Edmunds.com. A survey sponsored by Chubb found that a majority of respondents want licensed drivers operating self-driving cars, while one-third of motorists said they would feel safe if traveling while automated cars are being driven.
