Brachytherapy with SLR reduces lung cancer recurrence, study says

A reduction in local cancer recurrence rates was observed in patients with stage I non-small cell lung cancer who were treated with brachytherapy seeds in conjunction with sublobar resection, a U.S. study found. This finding suggests that the combined approach could help improve the results for high-risk NSCLC patients, the researchers said.
