UN Women chief lauds social media as anti-violence tool

The use of technology and social media in particular can help end violence against women around the world, U.N. Women executive director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka said during the 2013 Social Good Summit. Mlambo-Ngcuka said men can make a significant difference by "tweeting about it, hosting conversations, fighting against those sites that abuse women."
