America's status as the innovation capital of the world depends on attracting the best and brightest tech workers, but current immigration laws that restrict how long high-skilled workers can stay in the U.S. risk leaving the country "starved for talent and less able to compete," writes Padmasree Warrior, chief technology and strategy officer at Cisco. She says that with the U.S. facing a serious shortfall of skilled workers, it's more important than ever that Congress pass a comprehensive immigration bill that ensures companies won't be denied the best talent in the world.
