Asthma is tied to poor blood glucose control in juvenile diabetes

A study in Pediatrics found that 15.5% of children with type 1 diabetes who also had asthma had poor blood glucose maintenance, compared with 9% of those without asthma. The researchers said they also found a higher rate of asthma among children with type 2 diabetes, which adds evidence to the idea of an obesity-asthma connection.
