BNSF releases environmental draft on planned intermodal facility

BNSF's Southern California International Gateway intermodal project advances with the release of a Draft Environmental Impact Report, which projected the terminal's environmental benefits from "greatly reducing truck traffic congestion in southern California," according to BNSF. "The release of this report is a significant moment for green growth in Los Angeles," said BNSF CEO Matthew Rose. "Railroads are the most environmentally friendly mode of surface transport."
