Satellite scattered debris into Pacific, NASA says

Nicholas Johnson, NASA's chief scientist for orbital debris, said a decommissioned research satellite appears to have disintegrated and scattered its debris into the Pacific Ocean, but "away from the western coast of the U.S." However, the precise location of the satellite debris might not ever be pinpointed.
