VA, DOD allocate funding for PTSD, TBI research

The Department of Veterans Affairs and Defense Department have joined forces to invest $100 million for research into ways to improve the diagnosis and treatment of PTSD and mild traumatic brain injury. The funding will back studies by the Consortium to Alleviate PTSD and the Chronic Effects of Neurotrauma Consortium on brain trauma markers, prevention and various treatment options.
