Dairygold invests $176M to prep for end to milk restrictions

Dairygold Food Ingredients is investing $176 million in Irish processing facilities in an effort to prepare for increased operations in April 2015, when EU milk restrictions are set to expire. Dairygold has secured contracts and funding for a new factory in County Cork that will create more than 100 jobs, according to Dairygold head Tim Healy, and its supply farmers will be allowed to produce to capacity without being penalized under the current restrictions.
