Academy Award-winning actor Geena Davis helped unveil a new science, technology, engineering and math scholarship designed for women looking to enroll in New Engineering University's newly created one-year Master of Engineering degree in Big Data. "One of the goals of the program is to enroll a class with a diverse student body where at least half of the students will be women, challenging the current environment in which just 11% of practicing engineers are female," NEU said. As part of the effort, NEU has awarded the Geena Davis Institute five full-tuition scholarships, which will be given to aspiring female engineers. The scholarships are valued at $20,000 each.
