House panel reportedly considers changes to the ad tax deduction

The House Ways and Means Committee is discussing changes to the advertising tax deduction, according to the Association of National Advertisers' Dan Jaffe, who says the industry is "starting to see the strongest signal we've seen in years" that the deduction is in play. The American Advertising Federation, in a note to members, said there is "simply no economic or practical justification for enacting a limit on the deduction of advertising costs."
