IMF releases $1B for Ireland's financial rescue

The International Monetary Fund expressed concern about Ireland's contracting economy while releasing an additional $1 billion in rescue funds. For Ireland's national debt to be sustainable, its economy needs to start growing by more than 2% annually next year, the IMF said. Ireland's economy decreased 1.2% in the second quarter, the fund said.
