Librarians can have indispensable role in health care

An opinion piece in JAMA stressed that librarians should be considered important members of medical teams, saying that librarian-assisted data access and education result in better patient care, physician efficiency and health care quality. Data from the Journal of the Medical Library Association revealed 75% of caregivers who received information from library resources changed how they handled patient care, and 95% of that group thought they made health care improvements.
