Livestock disease-resistance research projects share $6.4M grants

The U.K. Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council has agreed to provide $6.4 million toward several genomics-based studies of pest resistance in livestock animals and the development of new ways to fight livestock diseases. One of the projects will analyze molecular changes in infectious bronchitis virus, which affects chickens.
