Russian aluminum producer asks for LME transparency, warehousing rule delay

Russian aluminum producer Rusal has asked the London Metal Exchange for an increase in transparency regarding trading, price discovery and warehousing, as well as asking the exchange to delay a proposed change in warehousing rules, if it is approved. "Building on the disclosure requirements applied by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in the USA as a minimum, the LME needs to provide appropriate access to its existing futures transaction data relating to market participants," the company said.
