Dollar sales of ready-to-eat popcorn grew over 11% in 2012, said Information Resources. Gluten-free and rich in whole grain, popcorn can be flavored in myriad ways, such as the Ginger Sesame Caramel from 479° Popcorn, which targets "sophisticated snackers," said Founder Jean Arnold.
