New wave of biotech crop seeds poised to reach the market

Biotech scientists are looking to new types of sugar beets, soybeans and corn to be among the next wave of new seeds to hit the market as more convenient, healthy and enjoyable foods. The biotech seeds include beets that produce an indigestible type of sugar, soybeans that do not need hydrogenation, oilseed crops with more of the beneficial fatty acids and corn with higher levels of unsaturated fat.
