Ericsson executive talks the future of broadband

Ericsson's head of networks, Johan Wibergh, says he believes simpler networks are the answer to pushing broadband to its full potential. Wibergh, who spoke today at an event in Paris, said that 4G Long-Term Evolution has given mobile the boost it needs to bring broadband forward for at least the next eight years but that the complexity of fixed networks will only be simplified with a transition to a fourth generation of IP networks.
