Pigeons prove problematic for Times Square signs

New York City's Times Square is famous for the bright lights on its massive LED billboards, most of which come from Dynamic Digital Displays, also known as D3. In this behind-the-scenes peek at the massive signs, D3's Jason Barak says even the most creative solutions don't completely eliminate one of the city's biggest nuisances -- pigeons. "Times Square happens to be a haven for pigeons, and we have to take active measures to keep them from sitting on top of the billboards," Barak said.
