Texas governor asks Obama to stop EPA's new air-pollution rule

Texas Gov. Rick Perry urged President Barack Obama to halt the implementation of the Environmental Protection Agency's Cross-State Air Pollution Rule, which would require power plants in 27 states to reduce smokestack emissions. The new rules will have an "immediate and devastating effect on Texas jobs, our economy and our ability to supply the electricity our citizens, schools and employers need," Perry said.
