Ala. takes steps to address concerns about students' data

Alabama State Superintendent Tommy Bice will propose the state board adopt a policy limiting the information it will share about students with the federal government. That proposal states that information shared is done so in aggregate form and in a way that protects students' identities. The policy was introduced following concern the state would share personal information about students with federal officials as part of the Common Core State Standards.
