Notifying shoppers who have expressed interest in a product that's out of stock is an ideal use of mobile, Gilt Groupe's Steve Jacobs said at the MMA's SM2 conference. "If an item sells out on mobile, you can register and say, 'Hey, when we get this inventory comes back, let me know.' Leveraging push with a wait-list notification is really great for us," Jacobs said.
