Low-carb dieters missing out on recommended fiber

With millions of Americans on some form of a low-carb diet, many medical experts worry dieters are getting less than a quarter of the daily recommended amount of fiber, which helps promote good health. Atkins Nutritionals admits its diet is short on fiber, but recommends a fiber supplement. Nutritionists prescribe a balanced diet of fruit, vegetables and whole-grain foods.
