BET, MTV team up on Centric network launch

Two Viacom networks, BET and MTV Networks, today will launch Centric, a new basic-cable network that offers music and lifestyle programming geared toward black viewers. BET is rebranding its BET J network, which currently has almost 32 million viewers and distribution deals with Time Warner Cable, Cablevision and DirecTV, to make room for Centric.
