Texas water suppliers partner for pipeline

Two water suppliers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area -- Dallas Water Utilities and Tarrant Regional Water District -- will build a $1.9 billion pipeline that will run from east Texas. The 179-mile line will deliver up to 197 million gallons of water per day and help the state survive drought over the next decade. Construction could start in 2014, and the project could be finished four years later.
