La. parish gets $14.4 million in Hurricane Katrina recovery aid

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has released $14.4 million for Louisiana's St. Bernard Parish to use for Hurricane Katrina recovery projects. The money will be used to overhaul the parish's civic center and to repair streets and sidewalks. During the past five years, the parish has received about $960 million from the agency to fund recovery efforts.
