Obesity, unhealthy lifestyles are tied to more sick days

A Dutch study found more than 10% of sick leave and higher levels of lost productivity can be linked to worker obesity and lifestyle behaviors, such as smoking. Researchers said obese workers were 66% more likely than their normal-weight peers to take 10 to 24 sick days and smokers were 30% more likely to do the same.
