$1.1B research lab to create 842 construction jobs in Conn.

A $1.1 billion genetics research facility will rise on the campus of the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington. The Jackson Laboratory, a Maine-based nonprofit, wants to expand and will build the 173,000-square-foot lab that could eventually grow to 250,000 square feet. The project could create about 842 construction jobs.
