Pilots at Southwest and AirTran consider seniority-list deal

AirTran Airways and Southwest Airlines will take a key step forward in their merger when their pilots vote on combining the carriers' seniority lists. The Air Line Pilots Association, which represents AirTran pilots, rejected a previous deal. Pilots can begin voting on the deal Oct. 8.
