Software program focuses on needs of ninth-graders

A software program called Study Island is designed to help monitor the achievement of ninth-grade students and keep them on track to high-school graduation, one educator says. Students complete work online, and the data is instantly available to teachers, who can provide more individualized instruction based on student needs.
