Companies make wellness a key part of business strategy

Wellness programs have evolved from being a nice employee perk to having an important role in company business and benefit plans, experts say. John Waters, director of wellness consulting at OptumHealth, says companies can tailor wellness initiatives to keep an aging workforce healthy, and Life Time Fitness offers a virtual tool called "myHealthCheck" for providing health assessments, online coaches and other resources.
