Canadian students combine fitness with academics

High schools in Ottawa, Canada, have found that integrating exercise and fitness routines into English and maths classes has improved grades, attendance and fitness levels. The key to the programme, called Igniting the Spark, is elevating students' heart rates through physical activity before they sit down for classwork.
