U.K. authority rebukes Bayer for bar bill

The Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority in the U.K. ruled that a Bayer representative breached accepted practice when buying after-dinner drinks for attendees at a medical conference. However, the panel acknowledged that the circumstances were exceptional because the breach occurred while the group waited for a taxi. Bayer's internal guidelines prohibit purchasing alcoholic drinks after a dinner.
