Construction at Ga. nuclear project moves forward

Workers at Southern Nuclear's Plant Vogtle project in Georgia are spending 20 hours a day to speed up construction of what could become the country's first new commercial nuclear reactor in decades. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission granted Plant Vogtle an early-site permit in August, and the company has moved heavy equipment and more than 320 employees to the site.
