Bill calls for USDA to mandate labeling of biotech fish

Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., has introduced a bill that would give the Agriculture Department the authority to require biotech fish and food products derived from cloned animals to carry labels if they are approved for human consumption. "If FDA approves the genetically modified salmon the American public deserves to know the truth about their food, and this legislation will ensure that they are provided with this critical information," DeLauro said.
