Bayer unit to work with Indian farmers for biotech seed development

Bayer CropScience plans to develop and launch biotech seed varieties in the Indian market by directly collaborating with farmers through an initiative called food-chain partnership. The company's Indian unit has signed deals to purchase crops from more than 1,000 farmers involved in the project.
