NCQA to measure patient satisfaction in medical homes

The National Committee for Quality Assurance has unveiled the Distinction in Patient Experience Reporting program meant to assess care coordination, physician access, self-management support and shared decision-making in patient-centered medical homes. The program uses a survey to measure patient and family satisfaction in such medical settings.
