The Pentagon on Tuesday opened the Defense Health Agency, which represents a major reorganization of the military health system. The agency, which replaces the Tricare Management Activity, is meant to eliminate duplicated services and to streamline operations, which officials say will save the Defense Department money. An opening ceremony scheduled for Tuesday was postponed because of the government shutdown.
